1977 to 1978

1) 116 ATU Change of Command Parade in April 1977. Inspecting the troops is Canadian Force Commander BGen Blake Baille followed by the new CO LCol Gary Naylor. 2) In May of 1977 BGen (later LGen) Pablo MacKanzie, Commander of air Transport Group in Trenton, visited the unit. According to the "116 ATU Annual Historical Report: 01 Jan - 31 Dec 78", during 1978 116 ATU aircraft:

  • flew 1,496 hours
  • carried 10,631 passengers,
  • moved 251,966 pounds of cargo, and
  • delivered 82,341 pounds of mail.
